‘Let It Snow’ for Snow Leopard, Lion

5 December 2011 2,004 views 2 Comments

This isn’t a screensaver. It’s more like a festive seasonal sheer curtain to drape over your Mac during the Winter months — a gentle snow shower that will deposit “flakes” on the tops and bottoms of Finder and application windows.

Let It Snow ($0.99) is an application that generates snow flakes above whatever combination of apps and Finder windows you have up at any given moment.

Additionally, as shown in the screen cap above, flakes will accumulate on top of windows and at the bottom and sides of the display. Kind of neat, but there’s a need for a screensaver mode with user changeable backgrounds as well as the ability to tweak flake volume, wind direction, etc.

However, at 99 cents, there’s just enough to like here…

What’s your take?
