Spotify misses me

15 December 2011 555 views 2 Comments

I’m no luddite, but I haven’t listened much to Spotify in quite awhile. Pandora and plain jane internet radio are still my go to portals for music discovery and I don’t see that changing, well, ever.

That’s likely to do with the fact that I hate “pay forever” anything — when taking money out of my pocket, I demand something go back in as part of the deal. Our house doesn’t have cable TV and I’m never willing to carry a credit card balance.

What does Spotify’s $10 a month put in anyone’s pocket for the price? Absolutely nothing, jack diddly squat.

Pandora’s occasional advertisement? So what, it’s nothing compared to the visual noise that the free version of Spotify pushes out.

Does Spotify miss you and, more importantly, do you care?
