It’s the simple things in life… like really cool desktop pictures or, if you must, wallpapers. So, does the image make the Mac? Perhaps, but at the very least a well chosen photo on the desktop certainly can spark a few words if not a conversation.

The neat desktop picture shown above and the tip to use it come via the good offices of iFixIt — the lads have made a good trade of tearing Apple gear down, up and otherwise rendering what’s inside intelligible.

Look for this link — So here’s the 21.5″ iMac wallpaper! — open it, right click (two-finger tap) on it and select “Use Image as Desktop Picture.” It’s just that simple.

Now, when looking at your iMac’s desktop, you will see its internal components or, at the very least, the guts of Apple’s current generation 21.5-inch iMac, which is available for hundreds less when purchased refurbished.
