Where to buy Adam Lashinsky’s ‘Inside Apple’

If Apple is Silicon Valley’s answer to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, then author Adam Lashinsky provides readers with a golden ticket to step inside. In this primer on leadership and innovation, the author will introduce readers to concepts like the “DRI” (Apple’s practice of assigning a Directly Responsible Individual to every task) and the Top 100 (an annual rite in which 100 up-and-coming executives are tapped a la Skull & Bones for a secret retreat with company found Steve Jobs)…

Yes, Adam Lashinsky’s Inside Apple: How America’s Most Admired – and Secretive – Company Really Works is now available and pretty much everyone noting its arrival lists Amazon as the place to buy. But, believe it or not, Apple’s iBooks and audiobook stores in iTunes are offering it, as well, and the ebook is priced the same as Amazon.

Do you also imagine Steve Jobs wouldn’t have allowed Adam Lashinsky’s book on iTunes? He was often weird that way and was known to hold a grudge.

Nevertheless, here are the links for Inside Apple: iBook ($12.99) and audiobook ($19.95).

Of course, you can purchase Inside Apple on Amazon in the hardcover and Kindle edition ($12.99) formats. As is oft the case, however, Amazon isn’t listing the audiobook version on release day — go figure.

Amazon is now shipping Inside Apple as an audiobook on CD ($17.81).

Third-party sellers on Amazon have the paperback, but it’s priced the same as the hardcover version.

Perhaps the best way of all to get Inside Apple is to not pay for it at all. So, if you haven’t already used their free trial offer — get the single credit book of your choice, cancel within 14 days and keep the book — then by all means click through for the freeness.
