Rush iPad app updated with Clockwork Angels album, tour info

Technically brilliant guys with an unapologetically Northern flavor and viewpoint. Tour tickets are already on sale — think Manchester, NH in September — and the album hits the street in June, though you can taste and get the first single — Headlong Flight — on iTunes right now (video below the fold).

And, for the truly hardcore Rush heads — i.e. you’ve seen them more than times than you have fingers and toes — there’s the Rush app for iPhone and iPad ($2.99), which has been updated with Clockwork Angels album, artwork and tour information, including dates and ticket purchase stuff.

In my 2010 review of Rush, I opined that the app’s value, which then sold for $5, would be dependent on updates and refreshed content and here we have it. In fact, this is hardly the first refresh and, as long as the guys keep making music, that just squeezed juice will keep flowing through the app.

Yes, it’s Springtime again for Rush fans even if the tour doesn’t start until Fall…

What’s your take?
