Absinthe 2.0: Which iPhone, iPad models are compatible

Jailbreaking has evolved and the just released Absinthe method isn’t your daddy’s trail of unlocking tears. According to knowledgeable folks, it is stupid silly simple to apply and the great majority of iOS 5 support iPhone, iPod touch and iPad models are compatible.
Green Poison has announced — yes, they roll with a proper press release — the availability of Absinthe 2.0, a five step, untethered unlocking method that is compatible with the following i-things:
Supported devices:
• Any Intel Mac able to run OS X 10.5 or later
• Devices running iOS 5.1.1 only
• iPad3 (WiFi/CDMA/Global)
• iPad2 (WiFi/CDMA/GSM)
• iPad1
• iPhone 4S
• iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 4 (CDMA)
• iPhone 3GS
• iPod 4G
• iPod 3GUnsupported Devices:
• iPad2 WiFi R2 (new model)
— Support for iPad2,4 will be added at a later date
• AppleTV 2
• AppleTV 3
And, yes, if you’ve got a third or fourth generation iPod touch, your idevice is compatible, as well.
For those with locked devices, a.k.a. unjailbroken, apply Abinthe 2.0 is a five-step process (directions for all supported methods). Folks already running on the wild side will need to download and run “Rocky Raccoon 5.1.1″ from the Cydia Store.
