Apple’s magic and revolutionary iPad replaced my MacBook and I couldn’t be happier. Well, that isn’t entirely true as, although I regularly use it to do real work, typing on the iPad could be better. In fact, typing on the iPad could be one heckuva lot better.

Why not just carry a Bluetooth keyboard? Well, I did for more than a year, but it died in my backpack and I’d rather not make that investment again. Further, why can’t typing on the iPad itself be better, seriously?

YouTube poster “danielchasehooper” has given the problem some thought and delivered a frankly impressive solution — advanced keyboard to improve typing and editing functionality and speed — it’s really cool.

That said, watching Mssr. Hooper do his iPad keyboard voodoo might be more speed and accuracy than a “normal” user could hope for, but it’s a very interesting series of concepts that cry to be implemented — check it out for yourself.
