Mainstage 2.2.2 addresses stability, performance issues

And, there’s an Apple TV software update, too, but let’s not jump jump the shark just yet. So, Apple bills this app as the “ultimate live rig” and, although that is a rather tall order to fill, this isn’t your daddy’s Bradshaw — there’s no comparison really in terms of price, performance or sheer brilliance. Nevertheless, no rig is ever complete and no software is ever finished — time to update.

At just over 300MB, MainStage 2.2.2 (Mac App Store) is a modest update that comes to market with fixes for relatively small set of stability and performance issues:

• Addresses a stability issue that could cause MainStage to quit unexpectedly on OS X 10.7.4
• Fixes an issue that prevented the I/O plug-in from outputting audio
• Resolves an issue related to the download and installation of basic and additional content

Mainstage ($29.99) is one of an increasing range of Apple and third-party apps that exist primarily in the Mac App Store.

And, in almost tangentially related news, sort of, Apple TV Software Update 5.0.2 is now available for 2nd and 3rd gen Apple TVs.
