Reminder: MobileMe armageddon arrives Sunday, June 30

Apple has sent MobileMe users yet another emailed reminder that the end is indeed night — MobileMe shuts down forever on June 30 at 11:59:59pm (PST). If you haven’t retrieved your stuff by then, when the calendar rolls over to July 1, your stuff will be gone.
That said, I finally took a few minutes to download the things, mostly family photos and videos, from my MobileMe account and it was very much worthwhile. Further, because some of these items were stored/published back in 2005, I didn’t remember they existed — serendipity.
Perhaps the easiest way to get everything stored in your MobileMe account is to log into iDisk, which allows you to both view and download zip archives of anything that you find and might want to preserve.
