So, you just installed Mountain Lion only to discover something, Mail perhaps, and now the best thing to do is reinstall — as far as I know, there is only one way to get that done. Pacifist is now ready to handle that job with a pair of fixes provide power users and admins alike quick and easy access to the Mountain Lion and upcoming software update installer packages.

CharlesSoft has come through, again. Pacifist 3.0.8 (release notes) is now available and arrives with the following fixes:

• Added support for OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion installer to “Open Apple Installers” button
• Fixed a bug that could cause the “Show Software Update Packages” feature not to work on OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion

Pacifist is shareware ($20) and can be downloaded as either a zip file or DMG image.
