Kenny the Clown and Steve Jobs’ iPad

The guy who robbed Steve Jobs’ house, Kariem McFarlin, had a generous streak. Unfortunately, the stuff he gave to family and at least one friend didn’t belong to him. That friend was Kenny the Clown (a.k.a. Kenneth Kahn), who used Jobs’ iPad to entertain kids.
“It would be like getting a football from Joe Montana that was stolen out of his house,” the 47-year-old professional clown told The Mercury News. “It’s bizarre; it’s really bizarre.
What’s the connection between Kahn and McFarlin? Kahn was a high school basketball coach and McFarlin was a player, and the two have been friends for years.
“It still hasn’t really 100 percent set in for me. It was Steve Jobs’ iPad — literally,” Kahn said. “If this thing weren’t so tragic, it would be comical.”
Yup, it would.
All of the items stolen from Jobs Palo Alto home have been returned, including the iPad given to Kahn, as well as another Apple tablet that McFarlin gave to his daughter.
Though there is nothing in this story to indicate that Kahn is anything but a decent guy, I still don’t like clowns…
