Laurene Powell Jobs spotted at DNC

During Bill Clinton’s headline speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) Wednesday evening to nominate Barack Obama for a second term, Laurene Powell Jobs was seen seated at the right hand of the former president’s daughter, Chelsea.
As one of the world’s richest women, worth an estimated $9 billion, and a long-time supporter of liberal causes, Powell Jobs presence at the event is significant.
And, for what it’s worth, San Jose Mercury News reports that Steve Jobs’ widow was been named to Stanford University’s board of trustees on Wednesday, as well.
Laurene Powell Jobs, who holds an MBA from Stanford, has given both time and money to educational causes over the years. She founded the nonprofit Emerson Collective, which is working to pass the Dream Act.
