MacConnection: New-in-box 2011 MacBook Air from $749

Over the weekend, woot made waves and headlines by offering the 2011 11-inch MacBook Air with 1.6GHz i5 for $749, which is a pretty good deal. Woot is now sold out. However, you can still get the same new-in-box MacBook Air model for just $749 with free shipping at MacConnection.
Alternately, if must have the latest and greatest, Amazon is offering the entry 11-inch MacBook Air with 1.7GHz processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB SSD for just $100 more.

That said, if you go with the attractively priced 2011 MBA with 1.6GHz for $749, it would be smart to bump the RAM to 4GB as that’s the practical minimum for smooth Mountain Lion performance.
And, for the lowest price on a refurbished “new” iPad (third-generation), check out Walmart’s $439 offer, which is a ten spot lower than Apple.
