One of the irritations of getting software updates via the Mac App Store is the inability to download standalone installers. It’s become an issue for a number of OS X Mountain Lion users that can’t download Safari 6.0.2, which includes a number of critical security updates.

People buy Macs because they “just work.” Unfortunately, that’s not always true and some users haven’t been able to install Safari 6.0.2, which includes a patch for a JavaScript issue (among others) that could lead to “application termination or arbitrary code execution.”

Yeah, nasty stuff.
