Mac Apps: Sandvox, Drive Genius, MacTracker point updates

Software is never finished and the updates ever flow, the updates must flow. Here we have dot-fixes for Sandvox, Drive Genius and, one of my fave Mac apps, MacTracker. First up, Karelia has released Sandvox 2.7.3 (news) — company’s best-in-class site creation and editing app — which comes to market with the following tweaks and fixes:
• Enhanced test makes sure your site URL is reachable from the rest of the internet, not just your Mac
• Simplified local hosting setup can publish to any location on your Mac
• FTPS support can be enabled from the preferences window
• IM Status: Updated AIM icon to match OS X v10.8 Mountain Lion
• Bringing in an image recognises the title from a broader range of sources
• Additional features, tweaks and bug fixes
Prosoft Engineering likewise has pushed out Drive Genius 3.2.2 (download page), a minor update of their benchmark disk maintenance and repair utility for the fairer platform. Changes in this patch include:
• When purchasing the full version from within Drive Genius, the app will automatically register itself
• Bug fix: potential stability issues with Defrag, Repair and DriveSlim
• Bug fix: stability issue on certain Mac Pro systems
Just over a week ago, Ian Page delivered MacTracker 7, a major upgrade of his popular Apple product database and reference app. Today comes the inevitable first point update, though MacTracker 7.0.1 (release notes) ships with a bit more than just bug fixes:
• Adds iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012) and iMac (27-inch, Late 2012)
• System requirements updated to OS X 10.6.8 or later
• Other minor changes and additions
Yes, Snow Leopard compatibility has returned with this release, an important show of support for the rather substantial slice of users that prefer OS X 10.6 and it’s integrated PPC app compatibility.
