QuarkXPress 9.5: App Studio drops AVE for HTML5

Beginning with version 9.5, App Studio is switching from the proprietary AVE format to the industry-standard HTML5 format — App Studio Goes Live for Digital Publishing with HTML5 (press release)
QuarkXPress is dropping a proprietary format. Just one, but the app and the company that makes don’t dominate like they once did.

Quark Software offers a 30-day free trial of QuarkXPress; it’s fully functional.
