And by “yep,” we mean a Staples retail associate “confirmed” that Apple’s iPad and, pretty sure, MacBooks will soon be on sale at the office supply stores. Good news for folks that don’t live within driving distance of an Apple Store.

And, did you know Apple products are are already available at Staples stores in Canada? Kind of makes the rumor that iPads and perhaps Mac portables will soon go on sale at the company’s Stateside stores a slam dunk.

After Canada, #Apple products are coming to #Staples in US. Great news! — Staples Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources via Twitter (tweet deleted).

The news was confirmed by Strategic Accounts coordinator Erin LaFlamme and Field Services Manager Mike Goggin.

That said, this intrepid reporter toddled off to his local Staples store where an unnamed retail associate said, “Yep, but not sure when,” to the question of Apple products going on sale there.

He/she added that MacBooks likely would also be in the mix.
