Apple’s iOS 6.1 caused 3G issues for the iPhone 4S on some carriers and that problem is now fixed. Licensing problems with Office 2011? Probably not, but Microsoft has a fix anyway. Plus Mac updates for Sandvox and Mellel fans, too.

Various sources report that the iPhone 4S is selling well. No wonder then that the mothership chose to quickly patch 3G issues spawned by iOS 6.1.

So… Is it safe? Yes, you can now update your iPhone 4S.

• iOS 6.1.1 Software Update
— This update fixes an issue that could impact cellular performance and reliability for iPhone 4S.

• Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 14.3.1 Update, download
— This update fixes an issue that may cause Office 2011 applications to report a problem with Licensing even though the applications continue to run unaffected.
— Requires OS X 10.5.8, Office 14.2.3

Then there is Sandvox 2.7.6 (site), which improves stability while publishing or handling missing media and addresses an issue choosing a banner or favicon image. When you are ready to purchase, can get Sandvox on the Mac App Store ($79.99).

Lastly, there is Mellel 3.1.3 (site), a point-update that contains “bug fixes.” Also available on the Mac App Store ($38.99).
