1984: Woz on Steve Jobs, Apple I
One of the coolest, and occasionally annoying, things about Steve Wozniak is the simple fact that he loves to talk and it’s been true for decades. Here’s a fine example, a short three-minute-plus clip of Woz on Steve Jobs, the Apple I and more at a Denver Apple Pi meeting.
In this long lost footage, Steve Wozniak says he is proud that the Apple I had a whopping 4K of dynamic ram built in. Woz told the story of the creation of the first Apple to the Denver Apple Pi computer club in a speech at the Colorado School of Mines on Oct. 4, 1984, just 9 months after the debut of the Macintosh.
Wow, 4K of RAM! Did you know that Apple’s Lightning Cable includes an A5 processor mated to 256MB of memory? The world has certainly changed in the 29 years since this video was recorded. All, of course, except for the ever ebullient Woz…
What’s your take?
