According to Wikipedia, multiplayer is in there, but will be extended later with matchmaking functionality.

“The game features updated multiplayer, including cross platform multiplayer, which allows players from the different platforms being able to play with each other. It has been planned for the game to feature a matchmaking functionality for multiplayer in a future patch.”

This is what they list on their website:

Improved Multiplayer
Online multiplayer will be upgraded at a future date to include matchmaking functionality, and games can be played across multiple platforms. Adventurers on iPad, Mac, PC and Android Tablets will then all play Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition together.

So does that mean there is NO multiplayer right now? It doesn’t mention it in the mac app store or fro the ipad version. BTW multi-platform multiplayer is what will make me purchase this game.
