Here’s a crazy, fun and maybe dangerous Mac mod worth an extended look. Whereas Apple’s original iMac can be made into a nice cat cozy or aquarium, what about the great big hunk o’ Aluminum that is the Power Mac G5? At least one has been been milled and machined into a skateboard.

Redditor autocorrector stumbled upon “…this aluminium skateboard in a student shop. It looked oddly familiar…” A cool catch to be sure.

That said, the Power Mac G5 skateboard probably isn’t safe for shredding. Nevertheless, the comments that accompanied this pic definitely are.

— ”At least it’s not liquid cooled that might leak…” quips clunkclunk.

— ”and of course, it doesn’t work with any new accessories. f****ng apple,” adds johns2289.

— And, my favorite from mike413, “Just run Hardware Update from the apple menu, it should be fine.”

And, if that doesn’t work, repairing the permissions is a sure bet.
