Good to be back at work? Pfft, as if! That’s why you’re scanning for updates and deals. This Monday Mac update report wants you to play Company of Heroes, which now features skirmish mode. And, people are loving Acorn 4 and we finish up with a DivX bug patch and wild, sweet, cool deals.

This is a great game and the Mac version just got better. Company of Heroes: Campaign Edition (Complete) now features skirmish mode and, best of all, it’s available on the Mac App Store for just $9.99.

• DivX 9.1.1 (download)
— DivX hasn’t added new features and the company ticks off bugs from a list with each new release.

Acorn 4: The Humans Love It

Last week, the Fairer Platform brought you news of Acorn 4 (MAS, $29.99), the image editor for humans. This whole number release is a huge upgrade that delivers an all-new interface, layers and a lot more.

“Acorn 4 is out, and I’m slightly proud of this bit of code,” Gus Meuller, Flying Meat. “A brand new UI, non destructive filters and layer styles merged together in one great bag of awesome, curves, much improved vector tools, and speed.”

Over the weekend, Acorn 4 hit #3 on the Mac App Store Top 10 Paid App List — kudos to Gus and all the guys at Flying Meat.

That said, I am a happy Acorn 3 user and will upgrade, but I’m looking for a deal on an iTunes Gift Card. Know where to buy? Share a link in the comments below.

Dealing the Updates

Rounding out today’s Mac update report are a pair of Stack Social specials, including a freebie. Check out Ondesoft AudioBook Converter, which removes DRM from audiobooks purchased on iTunes, and, when you check out, you pay nothing, sweet!

Add a Retro Touch To Your iPhone with the Coco Retro Handset — it looks just like one of Ma Bell’s handsets from the ’70s and comes with back-in-the-day price, too ($15).
