Refurbished iPad mini Now $279. Apple Signaling New?
Apple has announced the WWDC keynote will be presented at 10am (PST) on June 10, the first day of the huge developer event. Left unheralded by Cupertino are fresh refurbished iPad mini and iPad 4 price cuts, by an additional $20 and $40, respectively. A coincidence? Perhaps not…
Generally, not always, Apple trims refurbished prices after the new models have been announced if not shipped. And, it appears these are the new permanent prices for the first-gen iPad mini and fourth-gen iPad.

Apple has been known to diddle refurbished prices to move excess stock. However, those price changes are usually marked as “special, limited time only” and that’s not the case this time ’round.
For what it’s worth, the rumor mill posits that iPad mini 2 and iPad 5 production isn’t expected to begin until late June or July.
