Mac Updates: Flash for Mac, Office for Mac 11, Maverick Wallpaper
Hey, who is sick and tired of updating Adobe Flash for Mac? This Wednesday edition of the Mac update report delights and informs about the latest fixes, patches and hail marry tweaks available for the fairer platform and we didn’t forget the Maverick Wallpaper — it’s PPC compatible!
• Flash for Mac 11.7.7 (download)

— No option to disable hardware acceleration

— Addresses vulnerabilities that could cause a crash and potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.

For what it’s worth, Apple update its XProtect malware blocker on Tuesday evening, blocking Flash 11.6.
• Office for Mac 2011 14.3.5 Update (download
— This update fixes critical issues and also helps to improve security. It includes fixes for vulnerabilities that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer’s memory with malicious code.
— Mail flags are broken in 14.3.4 for IMAP in Microsoft Outlook for Mac Fixes an issue that affects IMAP-based email accounts in which the flagged or starred state of a message was not set correctly.
And, just a reminder — Microsoft ended support for Office 2008 on April 8.
Last and far from least, get Apple’s official Maverick Wallpaper, which is quite happily both Intel and PowerPC Mac compatible. No, legacy Macs get neither app nor OS updates from the mothership, but have this very wallpaper as compensation.
