Although the furor over Java security has died down, Apple keeps pushing out Java for Mac updates, this time focussing on Snow Leopard users

Although the furor over Java security has died down, Apple keeps pushing out Java for Mac updates, this time with another Snow Leopard and up refresh. And, just for our friends wrangling herds of iOS users, comes Configurator 1.3.

• Java for Mac OS X 2013-004 (download)
— Java for OS X 2013-004 delivers improved security, reliability, and compatibility by updating Java SE 6 to 1.6.0_51.
— For OS X Lion v10.7 or later

• Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 16 (Software Update)
— Delivers improved security, reliability, and compatibility by updating Java SE 6 to 1.6.0_51. This update enables website-by-website control of the Java plug-in within Safari 5.1.9 or later.
— Security content when available

• Apple Configurator 1.3 (MAS)
— Significantly improved reliability, scalability and performance
— A new status view that includes time estimates and error information with recovery suggestions
— Ability to cancel scheduled or in-progress operations
— Administrators can install apps on devices configured to not allow users to install apps
