It has been months since the recent Mac security scare — is Apple doing a better job or have hackers turned their attention elsewhere? Whatever the case, the mothership has OS X security updates for Snow Leopard and Lion users. In the case of the latter, Apple bundled in Safari 6.0.5, which is mostly about security.

For whatever reason, Apple chose not to update Safari for Snow Leopard, which remains at v5.1.9.
