Apple History: Apple TV Ads from the ’80s
Do you miss big hair? Consider moving to Pittsburgh. However, if you would like to re-experience a little Apple history, specifically dozens of Apple TV ads from the ’80s, then this is the place to start.
Here are three to set the mood.
If you used a PC for more than five minutes back in the day, you will understand this one. Then again, more than a few of you wouldn’t mind pumping a few rounds into a Windows machine or three.
An absolute classic Apple TV ad that deserves a lot more credit than it generally gets. Whereas nearly everyone knows or remembers the “1984” Super Bowl, this one got forgotten, but is in the same league — think of it as a wild card.
When it comes to the best Apple TV ads, there are essentially two kinds — the inspiring, grand vision and snark. Frankly, I wish Apple still did snark, like “I’m a Mac” or this one, boom, you are served.
Perhaps they should have named this one, “Oh, Waiter.”
