OS X 10.8.5 12F26 Seeded with Updated Safari
It must have been Wednesday. Apple has seeded OS X 10.8.5 12F26 to developers. According to knowledgeable sources, there are no known issues and the testing areas — WiFi, Graphics, Wake from Sleep, PDF viewing and Accessibility, and Mobile Device Management — remain the same.
This is the sixth developer seed of OS X 10.8.5 beta and it arrives one week after the last one. As the Apple Developer Website is still unavailable, 12F26 is only available via the Mac App Store — devs that have downloaded previous betas therefrom are good and those who were downloading the installers are fresh out o’ luck.
And, there is one significant change in this seed — Safari 6.1 — which we learn about from AppleSpotlight (Google Translation, Portuguese):
Safari 6.1 has a new Sidebar with Shared Links, Which displays links posted by people you follow on Twitter. Your bookmarks and Reading List Also are streamlined into the Sidebar for easy management and browsing. Top Sites has a new look and is even simpler to customize.
And, those things — Sidebar, Top Sites — seem to be very much like the same features in Safari 7, which is part of OS X 10.9 beta.
