The Apple Developer Website was taken offline on Thursday, July 18 with the site and developer services coming back online since. The process of restoration is now complete, says Apple in an email to developers.

Apple has told developers that critical information was not leaked or compromised, though there have been whispers that the company’s app signing functionality was exposed. As is Apple’s wont, little has been said about the how, who and why of the Apple Developer Website outage, just that all precautions were being taken to prevent a repeat.
Yes, a London-based hacker has claimed responsibility, but there are reasons to doubt his veracity. Others have claimed roles, as well — again, Apple has offered nothing.
So, is the case now closed or should more answers be demanded?
