World’s Smallest Mac, Big Love
Because he could. A bleeds six colors Mac fan has created a one-third scale original Macintosh computer that runs System 6. Is the world’s smallest Mac the ultimate Hackintosh? That’s arguable, though there’s no question it’s kitten cute.
John Leake, host of the RetroMacCast, imagined and built the Mini Mac. This wickedly cool waste of time takes a lot of liberties — Rasberry Pie, Mac running in emulation, PVC enclosure, etc — but the end result speaks for itself.
“I made the case using white 3m Sintra (a sheet of pvc, easy to cut and sand) using an x-acto knife, files and sandpaper for the bezels,” writes Leake. “The sides bottom and front were formed into one part of the case with the top and back as the second piece.”
Leake doesn’t say how much time or money went into the effort, but his Mini Mac looks like a lot more love than moolah.
All hail the world’s smallest Mac! Kudos, John, the Mini Mac is a seriously beautiful piece of work…
