Apple releasing OS X Mavericks is one thing, a really big thing, and third-party software developers delivering updated, Mavericks ready apps is quite another. Here’s a quick look at some of the bits and pieces you may have been waiting for.

Logitech Control Center 3.8 (download), the OS X preference pane/app that allows mouse and keyboard customization, has arrived with a single listed change — support added for Mac OS 10.9.x.

CharlesSoft has been busy in recent days, as well. Pacifist 3.2.2 now requires a 64-bit Mac running OS X 10.6 or later and, yes, that includes OS X Mavericks. Of course, older versions of the app are still available for legacy Mac owners.

Micromat’s single window Mac system profiler MachineProfile, which got a mention here earlier, has been updated for OS X Mavericks and the latest machine identifiers have been added, as well.

On the image editing front, Acorn 4.1.2 has been tweaked to be Mavericks ready. Pixemator 3.0 is also available and delivers a range of new features, including layer styles, liquify tools and more.

Meanwhile on the Mac maintenance utility front Mavericks Cache Cleaner 8 and Cocktail Mavericks Edition have both shipped.
