There was a rumor earlier in the week that OS X 10.8.5 Supplemental was in testing, but likely wouldn’t be delivered to the public until next week. Apple has delivered that and iTunes 11.1.1, which is likewise a leveling step following a bigger release.

• OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 Supplemental Update (download)
— Resolves an issue that may prevent certain applications from using the FaceTime HD camera on mid-2013 MacBook Air systems
— Fixes an issue that may cause external drives to be ejected after the computer goes to sleep
— Addresses an issue that may prevent HDMI audio from working after waking from sleep
— Fixes an issue that may prevent certain USB Bluetooth adapters from working

• iTunes 11.1.1 (download)
— Resolves an issue that may cause iTunes Extras to display incorrectly, fixes a problem with deleted podcasts and improves stability
— iTunes 11.1.1 for Windows (64-bit)

That said, OS X Mavericks Gold Master has been released to developers. Additionally, as noted by Tapscape, OS X Syrah (a kind of wine grape) has been spotted by some web masters in their server logs.

To whit you might be thinking, “Hey, wait a second, Syrah? That’s not a California place name, what’s up with that?” It’s pre-alpa software and the name is likely for internal consumption only, preferably by the glass…

What’s your take?
