iWork 2013 has been a lightening rod for controversy, angst and just plain anger over missing features and changed workflows. Well, as expected, Apple has begun adding missing features back into Pages, Numbers and Keynote. For example, toolbar customization is back across-the-board.

Additionally, the iWork for iOS apps have also been updated, as well, which linked below. However, aside from some new transitions in Keynote, the iWork for iOS updates deliver “stability improvements and bug fixes.”

• Numbers 3.0.1 ($19.99, MAS)
— Customize the toolbar with your most important tools
— Window size and placement preserved on Save
— Set default zoom in Preferences
— Stability improvements and bug fixes

• Keynote 6.0.1 ($19.99, MAS)
— Customize the toolbar with your most important tools
— New transitions including Blinds, Color Planes, Confetti, Fall, Perspective, Pivot, and Swoosh
— New builds including Blinds, Fly in, Fly out, Orbital, Pivot, Scale Big, and Swoosh
— Stability improvements and bug fixes
— See also: Keynote 2.0.1 for iOS

• Pages 5.0.1 ($19.99, MAS)
— Customize the toolbar with your most important tools
— Center and edge guides are on by default
— Stability improvements and bug fixes

For existing iWork 2013 users, these updates are, of course, free. For folks sitting on the fence, thinking about upgrading to the new version of Apple’s productivity suite, this is perhaps not the update you have been waiting for.

Yes, toolbar customization has been added back with these iWork 2013 updates. But there are still many missing features, detailed in this support article, and Apple promised to deliver within six months.

Happy with iWork 2013 or will be waiting until Apple brings back all of the promised feature?
