Apple’s Mac code monkeys have been busy, busy, busy. Just one week ago, they seeded the first OS X 10.9.1 beta to developers and now those very same software simians are back with another, as well as more details about what will get fixed in this first Mavericks update.

• OS X 10.9.1 13B35
— Improved support for Gmail in OS X Mail, and fixes for users with custom Gmail settings
— Improves reliability of Smart Mailboxes and search in Mail
— Fixes an issue that prevented contact groups from working properly in Mail
— Fixes an issue that prevent VoiceOver from speaking sentences that contain emoji
— Updates Shared Link periodically when open in the Safari Sidebar
— Improves compatibility of the VPN server in OS X Server
— Focus areas are Safari, Mail, Graphics Drivers and VoiceOver

According to informed sources, Safari 7.0.1 (9537.73.11) and Mail 7.1 (1827) have been updated. Previously, Safari 7.0.1 was available as a separate beta and the changes mirrored those listed listed below.

That said, Apple’s Safari 7.0.1 analog for OS X Lion and Mountain is Safari 6.1.1, which has been seeded to developers, too:

• Safari 6.1.1 Seed 2 for Lion, Mountain Lion
— General website compatibility
— Accessibility
— Viewing and annotating PDFs
— Login autofill
— Password autofill
— Setting and using break points in Web Inspector
— Extensions

Also Thursday, in addition to the beta Safari and Mavericks updates, Apple delivered iWork 2013 (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) Updates (Pages, Numbers, Keynote), as well as fresh firmware for its 802.11ac AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule.

The above Mavericks update and Safari 6.1.1 betas are available to registered developers.
