Skype for 6.11 Fixes Mavericks Scrolling Issue, etc

There is goofy and then there is Skype for Mac. In addition to its well-remarked visually challenged user interface, Skype’s version numbering system is “different,” too. For example, I noticed v6.11 was available and that I had v6.7 installed. That said, the update fixes neither Skype for Mac’s UI problems nor its odd version numbers.

Skype 6.11 (download)
— [fix] Full-text search of messages with Unicode characters was failing on 10.6.
— [fix] Infinite scrolling was sometimes broken on Mavericks.
— [fix] A disk I/O issue prevented a small number of users from logging in.
— [fix] Dragged links were blurry when dragged to a display of a different resolution.
— [fix] File transfer messages were displaying incorrectly if they were scrolled just right.

Are you still using Skype for Mac or have you migrated video chat to FaceTime? Although I would like to ditch Skype altogether, there are still a few friends and relatives still clinging to Skype…

What’s your take?
