Are the lists getting shorter or is just me? While I might be suffering a bought of selective memory, it seems that recent Apple Camera RAW updates contain fewer and fewer new camera models. Given the rise of highly capable smartphone cameras, like the iPhone, ‘twould make sense.

• Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 5.02 (download)
— This update adds RAW image compatibility for new cameras in Aperture 3 and iPhoto ’11
— New cameras include: Nikon D5300, Nikon Df, Olympus OM-D E-M1, Sony Alpha 7, Sony Alpha 7R
— Supported formats and cameras

Looking for a low-cost way to process your RAW images? Then by all means have a look at Lemke Software’s GraphicConverter 9.0.1, with nondestructive editing and other advanced features, or Flying Meat’s Acorn 4.2.2, which has been supercharged for 2013 Mac Pro — both superb image editors.
