With the release of OS X 10.9.1 and the 2013 Mac Pro, it has been one heckuva week and now Apple’s capping it off with the first developer beta of OS X 10.9.2. In addition to a number of unlisted bug fixes, this Mavericks update brings minor new features.

Perhaps the most anticipated new feature in OS X 10.9.2 is FaceTime audio calling (image above), which Apple first delivered in iOS 7 back in September.

As shown below, FaceTime audio calling is also integrated into the OS X Messages app, a minor if nice touch that brings us a little closer to high-level chat-voip-video chat integration we enjoyed with iChat.

That said, Apple is asking developers to focus their testing on Mail, Messages, Graphics Drivers, VoiceOver and VPN.

OS X 10.9.2 is available to registered developers on the Apple Developer Website.
