Apple Delivers OS X Server 3.0.2 with VPN Fix

Apple’s OS X Server really should be called OS X Server Toolkit, because the product isn’t a stand-alone product and hasn’t been since OS X Snow Leopard. C’est la vie. Nevertheless, Cupertino’s Mac code monkeys have finished OS X Server 3.0.2, which takes another stab at fixing VPN issues.

OS X Server 3.0.2 ($19.99, MAS)
— LT2P VPN issues fixed via installation of separate VPN Update for OS X Server
— Requires OS X Mavericks version 10.9.1
— Fixes for various login and migration issues
— Addresses an issue using Xcode services with Git repositories
— Improvements for sending push notifications to MDM devices

For users, the upside of not a full server package is that OS X Snow Leopard server sold for $499 and OS X Server 3 goes for $20.

Are you still using OS X Server? Enough for you or will you be migrating to Linux? Windows?
