Show and Hide OS X Dock with Mac Keyboard Shortcut
Are you an innie or an outie? Then again, there is no need to choose. Here is a one-hand (three-finger) Mac keyboard shortcut to quickly toggle between show Dock and automatically hide the Dock.
Since getting an iMac with a 16:9 I’ve been an outie — the Dock is always displayed on the right-hand side of my display — there’s always plenty of space over there for both the dock, as well as the files and folders on the Desktop. Other folks? They’re innies and prefer to auto hide the Dock.
And, the keyboard shortcut is… Command + Option + D.
This keyboard shortcut works, if memory serves, in all modern versions of OS X, from Leopard forward.
Of course, one keyboard doth not a workflow make and here is a fairly long list of Mac keyboard shortcuts to get you well down that road…
