VideoBox 4.0: Download HD Videos

13 January 2014 210 views No Comment

While some Flash video downloaders perform as advertised, others are almost criminally bad. One of the best of over the years is TastyApps’ VideoBox, a pay to play solution + Safari extension that delivers user customizable video output — version 4.0 adds HD video downloading.

VideoBox 4.0 (download trial, $15)
— [new] Improved user control for downloading real Full HD videos for Youtube. Great for your PS4 and Retina displays
— [fix] Downloading Youtube Videos no longer starts a background video, making you painfully hear the audio while downloading(no more phantom audio)
— [fix] You can now download Youtube videos from your “Watch Later” list without the program freezing
— [fix] You are no longer constantly asked to upgrade your Flash player if you can’t

Been a happy VideoBox user for years, highly recommend this app. It works (almost) flawlessly for YouTube, CNN and a wide range of other sites, including mom and dad types doing mom and dad stuff.

If you’re just looking to convert music videos into mp3, m4a or other audio files, then have a look at TastyApps’ MusicBox (free trial, $15).
