GarageBand v10.0.2 Brings Back MP3 Export

With the release of GarageBand 10 last Fall, Apple stripped a pair of popular features, podcast production and mp3 output. While GarageBand 10.0.2 doesn’t bring back podcast functionality, it does revive mp3 output — a good thing.

Apple’s consumer music editing and recording app, which isn’t Logic Lite, has received an important update. GarageBand 10.0.2 (free) delivers the following:

— Improves stability and addresses a number of minor issues
— Adds the option to export songs as an MP3
— Contains multiple enhancements to Accessibility
— Includes 3 new Drummers and drum kits from the rock, songwriter, and R&B genres

One feature of GarageBand no one complains about is that it’s now free.

What functionality do you want Apple to bring back with a future GarageBand update?
