Safari Extension: ReMap: Open Map Links in Apple Maps

Google shmaps. Pass those browser search links to Apple Maps with this handy dandy Safari Extension.

Safari Extensions were gonna change the world. In fact, Safari Extensions did change the world, a little bit, and, well, that’s done. Nevertheless, new extensions come to market from time to time and ReMap 1.0 is a good one.

Google Maps in the browser can be very nice, but it isn’t “pure” experience. Yes, you can configure map links (via plugin) to open in Google Earth, which is can be good and/or bad, as well.

However, if you want to use Apple Maps for Mac, you will need to get ReMap 1.0 (download), a free Safari Extension for OS X 10.9 users.

And, whether you use Google or Bing, with ReMap installed and active, clicking a map link will open the coordinates in Apple Maps.
