Brydge+ iPad: An Excellent Keyboard Case for your iPad 2/3/4

Brydge delivers a quality experience, front to back with its anodized Aluminum keyboard case with integrated stereo speakers for iPad

Before I took the Brydge+ iPad keyboard case out of its shipping box, I was skeptical. However, Brydge delivers a quality experience, front to back, that has both pluses and a couple minuses.

For example, though anodized Aluminum often looks and feels cheap, Brydge uses a quality process that delivers a clean, smooth product with crisply detailed lines — it looks and feels great in the hand.

Likewise the (patent pending) clamps that attach the iPad to the Brydge keyboard case don’t look secure. However, once my iPad was inserted into the clamps, it was in there snug and tight.

Seriously, check out the Brydge shake test.

Additionally, the Brydge hinge/clamp approach also results in a solution that’s significantly lighter than competing keyboard cases from either ClamCase and Zagg. Moreover, because the iPad remains free range, the overall package is smaller than most iPad keyboard case solutions.

The flip side, of course, that the iPad isn’t protected by a full body case. That said, Brydge offers a zippered neoprene travel case for protection on the go.

“If you’re trying to leave your laptop behind, the Brydge+ keyboard is the best accessory for your iPad,” Laptop Magazine, Editor’s Choice Award.

Brydge: Thoughtfully Done

The included Quick Start Guide is right there when you open the box. Setting up the Brydge+ iPad is quick and easy, just pair up the Bluetooth keyboard (Ctrl + K) and stereo speakers (Crtl + B) — fast and trouble-free.

Integrated stereo speaker is a big improvement over the iPad’s speaker, but nevertheless only produces laptop quality audio response.

The Brydge chicklet style keyboard is comfortable and easy to get used to. That said, I truly wish iPad keyboard case manufacturers would settle on a standard for arrow layout on these compact keyboards.

And, the killer feature that makes the Brydge+ with Speakers a no-brainer is price. The company has announce it’s reduced the price to $99.99 (149.99), which really aligns the value versus similar competing products…
