Looking for OS X 10.10 screensavers? OS X 10.9 Mavericks and earlier screensavers will work just fine and here's beautiful Yosemite screensaver for your Mac

Looking for OS X 10.10 Yosemite screensavers and wallpapers? We have good news and more good news. Specifically, Apple hasn’t (yet?) made changes in OS X 10.10 vis a vis how screensavers work, so your OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and OS X 10.9 Mavericks screensavers (see related posts below) should work just fine.

Additionally, Dashboard widget and wallpaper purveyor OneMac has released the Yosemite Screensaver (free, download), which allows users to experience the stunning beauty of Yosemite Falls.

Know of a better Yosemite screensaver? Drop us a line in the comments below.

Like the above Yosemite image? Well, click it and get the Mac-sized version. Alternately, GottaBeMobile has versions of the El Capitan wallpaper for 3.5 inch and 4 inch iPhones, as well as iPad.

Alternately, get Yosemite wallpaper versions for both Mac and iOS in one archive at DeviantArt.

And, for what it’s worth, the good folks at Interface Lift have numerous Yosemite wallpapers that aren’t El Capitan — beautiful stuff!

I love the Mosaic or Collage screensaver that was available on Lion OS and disappeared with later OS updates. I’ve found quiet a number of users who feel as I do that this was the best, most elegant way to utilize an iPhoto album’s photos as a screensaver. Any hope that it could return with an update to Yosemite? The other options that place multiple photos on your screen are clunky and/or stupid.

Any hope that someone will develop a new Mosaic screensaver?

P.S. It would be really cool if the screensaver launched an iTunes playlist that you could select to accompany the screensaver images.

Can this really be that hard to do?

I do this now manually with an iPhoto album of photos of my wife in screensaver and an iTunes playlist I created to go with it.

Some smart programmer ought to be able to figure out how to automate this.
