DJ Kid Chameleon: If the Macalope, deadmau5 Hooked Up

If the Macalope (aka “the horny one”) and deadmau5 hooked up, what would their lovechild look like? Let that digest for a minute. Now, eat a handful of TUMS and behold DJ Kid Chameleon, a Los Angeles-based DJ with Mac Plus for a head and the phone number of gadget hacker Terrence Scoville in his pocket:

Essentially, I purchased a Mac Plus on ebay, removed the inner parts, cut a hole in the bottom of the case, inserted the inner padding of a bicycle helmet (cut to fit), and cut a slot for the iPad to slide in. The iPad’s thinness allows for plenty of room for the user’s head and the inner helmet keeps the Macintosh situated properly. Kid Chameleon then provided me with a sound activated electroluminescent patch he had which we attached to the front of the helmet — Terrence Scoville, creator of the Mac Plus headgear.

Obviously, that Mac Plus on the Kid’s head is a handful of Blauwe Nikes short of true comfort. That said, while deadmau5 keeps the mouse head thing going all night long and still goes home on fire, or not, DJ Kid Chameleon’s other parent is The Macalope, a mythical beast likely incapable of an honest day’s work let alone an all-nighter.

You can choose your friends, but not your parents. Sigh…

What’s your take?
