CloudKit Now Requires OS X Yosemite DP5, iOS 8 Beta 5
In just over two weeks, Apple will formally introduce the iPhone 6 and iOS 8 to public. Time is short. That said, Apple has sent an email to developers noting the following change: CloudKit requires OS X Yosemite DP5 and iOS 8 Beta 5.
Starting August 26, 2014, CloudKit, iCloud Drive, iCloud Photo Library, Mail Drop, Safari History, and Call History will require iOS 8 beta 5, or OS X Yosemite Developer Preview 5 or later. To continue building apps that use these features and services, make sure to develop with the required betas.
Apple Developer Technical Support
Developers who wish to keep testing against these features will need to update to at least beta 5 builds of OS X Yosemite and iOS 8.
Like the above image? It’s a 1920 x 1200 Mac wallpaper, which I found over at AppleCenter.pl. To use as your Mac desktop picture, click image (opens in a new window), then right click on the image and finally select “Use as Desktop Picture.”
