Carmageddon Reincarnation Due Summer, Free For A Day

Come on, admit it. You’ve felt a little road rage and perhaps even fantasized (maybe just a little just once) about bestowing justice on hapless pedestrians and fellow drivers alike. Well, your chance to act out the nightmare is coming with the Summer release (clip below the fold) of Carmageddon Reincarnation, an iOS re-imagining of the original PC game of yore.

Stainless Games, a Kickstarter funded firm which met its basic and stretch dollar goals, has announced that Carmageddon is coming to the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad this Fall and will offer the following features:

• A wide selection of touch control methods

• Intuitive gesture system allowing repair and recovery of the player vehicle in game

• Action Replay allowing players to save a movie and upload it to YouTube

• Game Center integration on iOS

• Universal app

And, yes, because Stainless hit its Kickstarter stretch funding goal, so as a thank you the game will be free on launch day, for one day only. Democratic funding techniques apparently have nice benefits for everyone…
