Falling leaves and store end caps piled with bags of individually wrapped, bite-sized candies — Halloween must be just around the corner. Hmm, while you wait for the pumpkin pie to cool, take a minute to pull together a Halloween Mac that’s in sync with the season with wallpapers, screensavers and icons!

The first step in your Halloween Mac makeover is a wallpaper, so head over to deviantArt for this classic seasonal scene. If that’s not what you had in mind, simple search of DeviantArt reveals thousands of choices — just keep scrolling.

When you find appropriate image, click the image to load a larger version. Once it loads, right click (two-finger tap) on the image and select “Use Image as Desktop Picture.”

Alternately, many if not most of the Halloween wallpapers on deviantArt are available in high resolutions — look for a green download button to the right of the image.

Halloween Mac Screensavers, Icons

There are tons of sites on the web advertising free screensavers, though more than a few seem skeezy to say the least. That said, Useless Creations and New Free Screensavers haven’t (yet) caused any rashes or burning sensations and both have Halloween Mac screensavers.

In a similar vein, the IconFactory and IconArchive offer nice selections of high-quality Halloween Mac icons — tip: look for icns formatted files.
