2013 Mac Pro Firmware , OS X 10.9.1, VPN Updates Available

June 1, 2022 by fairerplatform

How many 2013 Mac Pros are out there in the hands of real people? Whether that number is 10 or 10,000 (unlikely), those lucky few also get a trio of 2013 Mac Pro specific updates.

• Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update v2.0 (Download)

— This update is recommended for all Mac Pro (Late 2013) models.

— This update improves system reliability during reboot, resolves an issue with memory self-test, and improves graphics power management when using Boot Camp

• OS X Mavericks 10.9.1 Update For Mac Pro (Download)

— Release notes

• VPN Update For Mavericks Server (Download)

— This update fixes an issue that could prevent L2TP VPN connections from working with OS X Server, as described here

Although Apple has already begun accepting orders for the 2013 Mac Pro, fulfillment doesn’t start until Monday, December 30. That said, you have got to wonder many people we receive theirs, even with overnight shipping, before the world shuts down around 5pm or so on December 31 until breakfast time on January 2.

Further, Apple is already saying new orders won’t be filled until February 2014, which is pretty darned ridiculous…

What’s your take?
