Apple announced on October 22 that the 2013 Mac Pro ship date would fall in December. About a week ago, European reseller sources said that it would arrive on the 16th and/or 18th. Regardless, the month is rapidly slipping away and fresh rumors point to an imminent launch.
MacRumors, referencing freshly written quotations from Apple sales reps, is helping to stoke expectations that the 2013 Mac Pro ship date is imminent
But while Apple business team members have had some access to the full price list for the new Mac Pro for at least several weeks, team members appear to have become more proactive over the past several days, contacting business customers who had previously expressed interest in the new Mac Pro to offer them price quotes ahead of the official launch.
That said, the price quotes provided to potential Mac Pro buyers in the UK, US and Canada have ranged as high as $9,700 for a maxed out BTO 2013 Mac Pro. Again, these quotes are coming from official Apple sales reps, not third-party sellers
Although Apple rarely (ever?) launches new products on Mondays, it could be that the company will allow select enterprise and individual Mac Pro buyers first chance to place their orders before formally announcing it on Wednesday, a day often favored by the company…
